DHYAN BADRI, URGAM

The Temple of Dhyan Badari, one of the five Badaris, on Rishikesh-Badarinath route is 12 km trek from Helang. Situated in the picturous surroundings at an altitude of 2135m, the idol of Lord Vishnu is in Chaturbhuj (Four Arms) form of black stone in a meditative posture. A place of divine peace the prayer of the believer are instantly blessed. Kalpeshwar (one among five kedar) is 2 km trek from here.

Air: Nearest Airport is Jolly Grant, Dehradun 272 km.
Rail: The nearest railhead is Rishikesh, 255 km.
Road: Dhyan Badari can be reached upto Helang, 243 km on the Rishikesh-Badarinath road by bus or taxi. From Helang, the 12 km trek is off the main road.
